A man is jailed after resisting arrest last night in Beaumont. Police were fueling up a patrol car
at the Criss Cross convenience store on S MLK when they spotted a man that appeared to be
under the influence. The officers attempted to arrest the man and he began fighting the officers.
Once officers were able to detain the man he was transported to the hospital to be checked out,
then transported to jail. He has been charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. He
could also face a charge of assaulting an officer.
