Testimony begins this morning at the Jefferson County courthouse in the capital murder trial
of 38-year old Joseph Colone. The Beaumont man is accused of the 2010 shooting deaths of
41-year old Mary Hernandez and her 16-year old daughter Briana Goodman. Prosecutors say
Colone shot them to prevent them from testifying against him in a robbery trial. The trial is
taking place in Judge Raquel West’s courtroom.
