A contractor has been hired for the failed levee near Taylor Bayou and the Valero refinery in
Port Arthur. Drainage District 7 says Mason Construction will be the contractor for the project.
There will be a town hall meeting tomorrow evening at the Carl Parker Center in Port Arthur to
allow DD7 and the Corps of Engineers to answer questions from the public about the damaged
levee and moving forward to fix it. The town hall meeting gets underway at 5:30.
