Two Arrested Following Aggravated Robbery

Two are in custody and the search for a third continues following the robbery of the Valero

store at Twin City Highway and Spurlock Road. A witness was able to follow the suspects

and notify authorities. Jefferson County deputies caught up to the fleeing vehicle and three

black males jumped out of the rolling car and fled on foot. A 16-year old was quickly

apprehended. A perimeter was set up and deputies found a 19-year old hiding under a house

on Spurlock Road. A possible third suspect was found walking near 18th & Spurlock. He was

dirty and had some minor injuries. He was questioned and released. An arrest could be coming

pending eye-witness statements. The vehicle the suspects were in was reported stolen in

Beaumont. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office wants to commend the citizens in that area

that assisted in locating the suspects.
