Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Electoral College.  In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, the failed Democratic presidential nominee said the body needs to be eliminated.  Clinton won the popular vote in the 2016 election by nearly 3 million votes over Donald Trump, but Trump won the Electoral  College to become the 45th President of the United States.

Clinton also called for an end to the Electoral College after the 2000 election when Al Gore won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College vote to George W. Bush.
