Port Arthur Police Chief Patrick Melvin is one of six finalists for St. Louis Police Chief. Melvin was named one of six finalists Thursday. He took part in a town hall meeting Thursday night in St. Louis with the five other finalists. Two others are also from out of the area and three are with the St. Louis Police Department. The Public Safety Director and Mayor of St. Louis will interview the finalists Friday. They plan to hire a new St. Louis Police Chief by the end of the year.
