Stockman Convicted

Steve Stockman

(Houston, TX) -- Former Texas Congressman Steve Stockman, who at one time represented Jefferson County,  is facing time in prison for fraud. A federal jury convicted the Friendswood Republican on 23 of 24 counts today following over 15 hours of deliberations. Stockman was arrested last year on claims he created a fake nonprofit and used the cash for personal expenses. Stockman had two tenures in Congress from 1995 to 1997 and from 2013 to 2015. He challenged Senator John Cornyn in the 2014 GOP Senate primary and lost.
