A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a transient for arson. 54-year old Carey Nathaniel
Hill is accused of setting an American flag on fire in front of Bel Furniture in Beaumont on
Eastex Freeway on July 12th. The fire spread to the awning in front of the building causing
damage. The incident was captured by the store’s surveillance cameras.
