A Wednesday afternoon traffic stop on I-10 in Beaumont ended with a Mississippi man going
to jail. BPD Narcotics Interdiction Officers stopped a vehicle and with the assistance of a K-9
unit, 172 pounds of marijuana, approximately 2.2 kilos of suspected cocaine, and a firearm were
found in the vehicle. 31-year old Jimario Holmes is charged with possession of marijuana,
possession of a controlled substance, and unlawfully carrying a firearm.
