The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred last
night in the Central Gardens area of Nederland. Deputies were called to the 1500 block of
Lamar Avenue and found two gunshot victims. One of the victims was pronounced dead at
the scene. Two suspects appeared at the residence after talking over social media about the
sale of a motorcycle when gunfire was exchanged. The second suspect ran to a waiting car
and fled the scene. Residents in the area are asked to check their security cameras between
10:00 and 10:30 last night and contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
