Beaumont police have released the name of a man that was killed in a wreck on Twin
City Highway yesterday morning. 52-year old James Lee McClendon, of Beaumont, was
traveling south when he veered into the turning lane and struck the back of an 18-wheeler
that was turning left off of the highway. McClendon was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.
