A man is jailed charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault following a
Saturday night wreck in Beaumont. Police report 24-year old Jonah Watts, of Beaumont, was
traveling west on Highway 105, near RFD Road, when crossed into the eastbound lane
and struck an oncoming vehicle killing 51-year old Johnnie Longion of Warren. A second
person in the Longion vehicle sustained serious injuries. Watts was treated at the hospital, then
transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
