In Newton County, a suspect is being questioned in the attempted theft of an ATM machine
at Sabine State Bank in Burkeville. Deputies chased the two men that jumped out of a vehicle
on FM 692 northeast of Burkeville. One of the suspects was arrested on FM 692. The second
suspect is believed to have stolen a pickup and remains at-large. The stolen pickup is a dark gray
F-150 with Louisiana plates.
