The Beaumont Independent School District is looking to bring retired teachers back into the
classroom. The district is looking for 100 veteran teachers to support children experiencing
educational gaps due to COVID-19. During the upcoming school year team of veteran teachers
willwork closely with small student groups on all campuses. Retirees are eligible to work at
a rate of $40 at 20 hours a week and still maintain their retirement status with the Texas
