Shooting At High School In Arlington

(Arlington, TX) -- Reports say multiple people are being rushed to a hospital after an active shooter situation at a North Texas high school. It happened this morning at Timberview High School in Arlington, west of Dallas. Video shows police swarming the school with weapons drawn. In a tweet, the school district confirmed there's an active shooter situation and students and staff are locked in their classrooms. The mayor of Arlington says two people have been injured, but other reports say "multiple people have been shot." The mayor added he was told police are hunting for the shooter. The FBI and ATF are also on the scene. Parents are being told to head to a nearby pick-up spot.

(Arlington, TX) -- There may be a standoff going on near the scene of a North Texas High School shooting. WFAA reports Arlington police and U.S. Marshals have surrounded a house a few blocks away from Timberview High and blocked off the street. Multiple people were wounded inside the school this morning, but details haven't been released. It's believed the suspect fled, but nothing has been confirmed. The back part of the school is blocked off.
