Port Arthur police are investigating a deadly shooting involving a former Beaumont police
officer and a retired Port Arthur firefighter. It happened yesterday afternoon during an
altercation in the 8000 block of Thomas Drive. The shooter, John Ishee, last worked with the
Beaumont Police Department in 2003. The name of the man shot and killed has not been
released. No charges have been filed at this time.
