Gas prices have dropped over the past week. The average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area
is $3.05 a gallon, which is down nine cents from last week. The statewide average is down 10
cents to $3.04 a gallon. Texas has the lowest statewide average in the country. This morning’s
national average is down nine cents to $3.70 a gallon. These averages are from Triple A Texas.
