A Jasper County man has been charged with an auto/pedestrian fatality. The victim was struck by a
vehicle yesterday as he walked into the parking lot as he was leaving the Jasper Wal-Mart. 79-year
old Charles Erderly, of Call, is charged with criminally negligent homicide. The victim has been
identified as 80-year old Frank Wegener, of Brookeland. Erderly is free after posting $7,500
bond.
