A Beaumont man is on his way to federal prison for nearly 10 years. 21-year old Jamar Byars,
also know as James Limbrick, has been sentenced to 117 months for the October 2021 armed
robbery of the Food Basket on North 4th Street in Beaumont. The clerk was struck twice in the
head with a gun during the robbery. Byars pleaded guilty to the charges in April of last year and
was sentenced yesterday.
