Gas prices have jumped over the past week. The average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area
this morning in $2.97 a gallon, up eight cents from last week. A year ago on March 10th, we
were paying $4.01 a gallon. The average price for a gallon across Texas is up eight cents to
$3.07. Triple A Texas reports the national average is up eight cents to $3.47.
