--Applications for the Texas Rent Relief Program reopen today for a two-week period. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs issued a news release saying 96-million-dollars in rent relief is available to help eligible households with their rent and utility payments. First-time applicants could receive up to 18-months of assistance, including past due bill payments. A spokesman says the Texas Rent Relief program has helped more than 316-thousand households since the start of the pandemic.
