Lake Charles, LA) -- A state lawmaker is proposing a bill to create a tolling authority, in case it's needed for the planned Calcasieu River Bridge. State Sen. Mark Abraham, a Lake Charles Republican, says the tolling authority would also be involved in building and managing the bridge.Abraham says the proposed tolling authority would have seven to nine members from neighboring cities, the police jury, and legislators.
