A Houston man shot and killed in Jefferson County early Easter morning has been identified. 30-
year old Javoris Portier died in the shooting that occurred at the Laday Arena in Cheek. A second
victim, a 37-year old Beaumont man, remains hospitalized in stable condition. There was a large
crowed attending a sponsored event. No one is cooperating with detectives Anyone with any
