The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found yesterday near the shoreline
in the 400 block of Easy Street at Toledo Bend. The sheriff’s office is awaiting a report from the medical
examiner’s officer to determine to cause of death. The name of the victim has not been released.
