The city of Beaumont is making amendments to game room ordinances in the city. An amendment
increases the city’s oversite of game rooms and their operators to improve public safety. The changes
should insulate sensitive communities by better buffering children, churches, hospitals, and residential
districts from gaming sites. Mayor Roy West tells KLVI game rooms will see a significant increase in fees
from the city.
