(Austin, TX) -- Fireworks are now on sale in the state of Texas. Beginning today and running through January 1st, Texans can buy fireworks at stands that have the proper permits. It's important to remember, though, that municipal and county ordinances vary from location to location on where the fireworks can be set off. Many cities don't even allow the posession of fireworks within their city limits. There is a state law that allows for the transportation of unopened fireworks in the trunk of a vehicle through areas where they're banned.
