Beaumont police have released the name of the man that died in an officer involved shooting. 37-year
old Jeremie Jamson Coleman was shot after engaging with officers with a gun following a brief pursuit
that ended on RFD at Eastex Freeway. Coleman was fleeing from a family violence call. The officer
involved has been placed on administrative leave with pay, which is department policy.
