The Orange County Sheriff’s Office and OSHA are investigating the death of an employee at the
Optimus Steel plant near Rose City. The worker was transported to the hospital yesterday where he died
following a fire in machinery at the facility. An autopsy has been ordered. The name of the victim has
not been released.
