Fergie To Host New Show 'The Four: Battle For Stardom'

Fox is adding even more star power to their upcoming singing competition series, The Four: Battle for Stardom, with the announcement that Fergie will serve as the host for the six-episode event, which premieres Thursday (January 4) from 8-10 PM ET/PT.

"This is a unique and modern show format that I believe will set the standard for the next generation of singing competition series on TV," the pop star said in a press release, which was sent out on Monday (November 27). "I am looking forward to being by the contestants' sides during what could be the most important performances of their lives. Along with these amazing panelists whom I know and love, I hope my experiences as a solo artist and as a member of The Black Eyed Peas can help guide them in their quest to make it in the music industry."

Unlike other singing competition shows, The Four skips the traditional audition rounds and kicks off with four finalists. The finalists must defend their spots each week against newcomers trying to knock them out of the competition. At the end of it all, the last singer standing will be rewarded with the guidance and support of the judges in hopes of making their dreams a reality.

Fergie joins an already-stacked roster of talent, including the series panel members Sean "Diddy" Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and record executive Charlie Walk. For more information on the show and details on how you can audition for the competition, head over to The Four's official website.
