The real Slim Shady or just kidding? Eminem chatted with Vulture for an interview published on Monday, December 18, and discussed everything from his new album, Revival, to President Donald Trump and even his uber-private dating life.
The 45-year-old rapper was previously married to Kim Mathers from 1999 to 2001 and again briefly in 2006 and told the mag that he’s used dating apps, however, fans are now confused.
“Since my divorce, I’ve had a few dates and nothing’s panned out in a way that I wanted to make it public. Dating’s just not where I’m at lately,” Eminem said.
When asked if he uses any dating apps, the rapper then responded: “Yeah, Tinder. And Grindr. I also used to go to strip clubs.”
Fans are now confused over Eminem’s sexuality given Grindr is a dating app geared towards gay and bisexual men.
“Eminem casually mentions in an interview he uses Grindr and the reporter DOESN’T follow up?? Worst journalism of the year,” one reader tweeted, while another added: “Wait….what?! EMINEM IS ON TINDER?!? (And Grindr?!?) Not enough exclamation marks for this.”
Others were quick to assume that Eminem was seemingly joking.
“I really think Eminem was joking about Grindr guys, y’all are running a mile to stretch this story 😐😐,” another person tweeted.
The rapper has previously come under fire for lyrics coming off as homophobic.
