Port Arthur police arrested a man on New Year’s Eve for discharging a firearm. Police wer
on patrol in the 5000 block of Ninth Street when they heard shots. They located a man in
the backyard of a home in the 6000 block of Eighth Street. He was taken into custody of
weapon charges.
