A Beaumont man is jailed charged with burglary of a building. Police were called to the Family
Dollar located in the 1500 block of Calder last night in reference to a burglary in progress. When
they arrived on the scene they detained the suspect. A burglary report had just been completed
at a separate location in which officers observed surveillance video of the same suspect. 27-year
old Matthew Norman was arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
