Loose Dogs Tie Up Traffic On Arizona Highway

Apparently these dogs just wanted to avoid red lights. Traffic in northbound lanes of Interstate 17 in Arizona slowed to a crawl as state troopers and bystanders attempted to capture a pair of dogs running loose on the roadway. The Arizona Department of Transportation tweeted photos from the scene Wednesday (February 28th.) Officials said the small white dogs were first spotted in traffic about 11:30 a.m. and traffic was brought to a slow crawl for nearly an hour. One of the dogs was captured on the highway, while the other was later captured in a nearby mobile home park. Neither dog was injured; both were taken to a local shelter. It was unclear if officials had identified an owner. (UPI)
