The Beaumont Independent School District has signed an agreement allowing students
living in Bevil Oaks to attend school in the Hardin-Jefferson School District. The agreement
was approved earlier this week by the Texas Education Agency. Residents of Bevil Oaks
signed a petition asking to be released from the jurisdiction of the BISD district.
