A house fire in south Beaumont claimed a life. Last night’s fire was in the 1700 block of
Herring Aly. When firefighters arrived on the scene, flames were coming from one of the
windows. A victim was pulled from the structure and was transported to Christus St.
Elizabeth Hospital where they later died. The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental.
