A robbery suspect is jailed after he drove a stolen vehicle into the water on FM 365 near
Hillebrandt Bayou in Jefferson County yesterday morning. He exited the vehicle and ran
across a field. It was learned the vehicle was used in a Bridge City robbery earlier in the
day. Yesterday afternoon, the suspect was taken into custody as he was walking the levee
near where the vehicle went into the water. He was transported to the Jefferson County
Jail where he was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Orange County. Additional
charges are pending.
