The DPS is investigating a fatal auto/pedestrian crash in Orange County. It happened around
4:00 this morning on Highway 62, near Daily Road. A pickup was traveling south on Highway
62 and struck a pedestrian that was walking near the roadway. The pedestrian, whose name has
not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup a 28-year old
Lumberton man, was not hurt.
