Testimony resumes this morning at the Jefferson County courthouse in the trial of a Beaumont
man charged with killing his girlfriend then setting their duplex on fire. Sean Jeffery Lavergne
is charged with the September 2015 death of 38-year old Reggie Jokodola, whose body was
found in the duplex, located in the 2300 block of Angelina in Beaumont. Witnesses testified
they heard the couple arguing shortly before the fire that burned itself out before firefighters
arrived.
