A Beaumont couple has pleaded guilty to injury to a child. 28-year old Christopher Bushnell is charged
with injuring a 2-year old girl by holding her feet under hot water. 27-year old Rashanda Morris is
charged with failing to seek medical intention to the child after Bushnell caused the injuries. Following
the pleas, Bushnell was sentenced to 20 years. He also was sentenced to eight years for on a family
violence charge, and six years for an unrelated charge of family violence by choking. Morris faces
deferred probation or five to 12 years. She will be sentenced next month.
