A Good Samaritan and a child were killed in a wreck in Orange County yesterday afternoon. The
DPS reports the Good Samaritan, a 46-year old man from Orange, stopped in front of a disabled
car on the I-10 frontage road, near 1135. He got out of his pickup to attach a tow chain when the car was
struck from behind by a pickup. The Good Samaritan and a minor child passenger in the car were both
pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car and passenger were transported to the hospital in
serious condition. Two occupants in the pickup, that struck the car, were transported to the hospital
with unknown injuries.
