A local business flooded by Tropical Storm Harvey has been purchased by the Port of
Beaumont. The port purchased Chicago Bridge and Iron, which is located on Pine Street,
for $8 million. Plans are to open a fabrication and paint shop. This will initially create about
200 jobs.
