A federal jury in Beaumont has convicted an inmate for assaulting a prison guard at the
Beaumont facility. 31-year old Reginald Edward Green faces an additional 20 years in
federal prison after punching a guard in the face. The officer suffered swelling and bruising to
his face. The trial lasted two days in the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Thad Heartfield.
