High levels of bacteria has led Jefferson County to issue a beach advisory for McFadden
Beach. The tested levels surpassed the 104 colonies that are considered to be unsafe. Lamar
University will continue to test and monitor the water and based upon their results, further
advisories will be issued as necessary.
