Beaumont police have made an arrest in connection with yesterday morning’s stabbing at the
Motel 6 on I-10. 38-year old Robert James Rodriguez is charged with aggravated assault with
a deadly weapon and assault family violence. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
The victim, a 38-year old Beaumont was transported to the hospital with multiple stab wounds
and a fractured skull. Rodriguez is also accused of assaulting and choking his pregnant wife.
