Shoppers returning to their vehicle in the Target shopping center on Eastex Freeway in
Beaumont found an unwelcomed visitor yesterday. A timber rattlesnake was found under a car in
front of Leslie’s Pool Supplies. A man in the parking lot used a machete to hold the snake down
until Gary Saurge, from Gator Country, was called to the scene to capture the snake.
