Checking Friday gas prices as we head into the final weekend in September shows the average
price for a gallon in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is up two cent to $2.61. The statewide
average is up four cents to $2.63 a gallon. This morning’s national average for a gallon of
gas is up two cents from last week to $2.87 a gallon. These averages are complied daily by
