A former Beaumont police officer has been indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury. On
July 5th, officers were called to Delaware & 10th in reference to a disturbance. Once on
the scene, officers encountered 45-year old Gerald Alfaro, who had recently been terminated
by the Beaumont Police Department. Alfaro, who had his 6-year old son in the vehicle with
him, was charged with DWI with a child under the age of 15 and booked into the Jefferson
County Correctional Facility.
