The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified a body that was found in the Neches
River, near Sabine Pass, Monday morning. Preliminary autopsy indicates 53-year old Douglas
Joseph Schwartz, of Beaumont drowned. The manner of his death is undetermined. A
toxicology report is pending.
