Gas prices are down. This morning’s average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area dropped
eight cents to $2.22 a gallon. The statewide average is down a dime to $2.17. This morning’s
national average for a gallon of gas is down nine cents to $2.49. These averages are compiled
