A wanted fugitive is in custody. 36-year old Armando Negrete, who eluded Port Arthur police
for over a week was taken into custody yesterday morning. Negrete is facing multiple charges,
that includes assaulting an officer and burglaries. Additional charges are expected. His bonds
at this time total $1 million. He is in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
